Introducing DTWorldz Sprite Capture Studio
How DTWorldz connects canonical Blender-authored characters, actions and equipment to a browser workflow for layered COLOR/DEPTH sprite atlases and JSON manifests.

DTWorldz Sprite Capture Studio connects two parts of a character pipeline that are often difficult to keep in sync: a canonical source authored in Blender and repeatable 2D output for a game.
Blender remains the place where bodies, actions and equipment are authored. The browser Studio is the production surface where those prepared packages can be inspected, configured and captured as portable sprite output.
Why This Workflow Exists
A sprite sheet is easy to export once. A reliable character library is harder.
Direction sets, frame timing, equipment combinations, camera choices and output layout all have to stay consistent as the project grows. The Studio turns those choices into a visible capture workflow instead of leaving them spread across one-off scene setups and manual exports.
It starts from catalog packages generated by the DTWorldz Blender Sprite Pipeline. This keeps the Blender master scenes canonical while giving capture work a focused browser interface.
From Character Package to Pixel Output
Inside the Studio, the capture path stays short and deliberate:
- Choose a prepared body package.
- Select an action and a 2, 4 or 8 direction set.
- Assemble the equipment combination to preview.
- Review the scene, pixel output and capture settings.
- Export the required layers and manifests.
Left and right views are rendered independently rather than mirrored. That matters for asymmetric characters, equipment and animation details that should remain honest from every angle.

Layers Built for Reuse
The Studio can produce body, equipment and combined results. COLOR and DEPTH atlases remain separate, and JSON manifests describe the exported sprite data alongside the PNG files.
That separation is intentional. A team can preserve a clean body layer, reuse equipment independently, or consume the combined result when that is the most practical choice. Output can be packaged as a ZIP or written through the supported folder export flow.
Because the result is PNG plus JSON rather than engine-owned project data, the capture output stays portable. The Studio does not assume that the next step has to be Unity, Godot or any other specific runtime.
What the Studio Is Not
This is not an AI sprite generator, a replacement for Blender, or a general-purpose .blend upload service. It consumes prepared catalog packages derived from canonical Blender master scenes.
That boundary is useful: asset authoring stays in the tool built for it, while preview, direction selection, equipment assembly and repeatable sprite export get a workspace of their own.
